Data we process

If you start without email or Google, Firebase first creates a temporary authenticated identifier tied to that browser. We also process sign-in data when you protect the account, the displayed name or alias, household membership, configured people and turns, recorded bin runs, absences, invitations and the history needed to make the fair split understandable and auditable. Minimum technical data may be generated to protect and maintain the service.

Purposes and legal basis

We use this data to provide the requested tool, authenticate each person, coordinate the home, calculate the rotation and prevent abuse. The backend also maintains daily aggregate counters for onboarding, activation and operational errors so we can verify that the service works; those counters do not store names, emails, user or household identifiers, or content. The main basis is performance of the service; security and technical improvements rely on legitimate interests. Any future feature requiring consent will ask separately.

Cookies and measurement

Essential technical storage maintains your session, protects the account and keeps necessary preferences. The Google tag starts with storage denied and may send cookieless measurement signals. Analytics cookies and product events are enabled only with your consent; Google Ads signals are enabled only if you also allow advertising. Events exclude names, emails, invitations and household identifiers. You can withdraw consent in the cookie policy.

Service providers

Authentication, database and hosting use Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Google Ireland Limited provides Analytics and Google Ads where consent exists. Stripe is involved only if a payment feature is enabled. These providers process data under their contractual and security safeguards.

Billing and payments

When Plus is purchased, Stripe processes the payment method and required billing data. Cubo Justo does not receive or store the full card number. We retain technical identifiers, the payer, plan, status and dates needed to provide the service and meet legal duties.

Retention and household control

Data is kept while the account or home remains active and for as long as necessary for security, incidents or legal duties. The owner manages participants and invitations and may delegate limited organisation; relevant actions remain in the history.

Temporary access depends on the browser until protected with Google or email and password. Protecting it keeps the same home and history. If you clear data, change device or sign out first, we may not be able to recover access.

A temporary individual draft may be deleted after 60 inactive days only if it has no bin runs, invitations, board or billing. An anonymous account with no active membership may be deleted after the same period. Shared, protected or genuinely used homes are excluded.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or portability using the contact above. You may also complain to the competent data protection authority in your country. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect the home.

Children

You must be at least 14 to use your own access, including any temporary access. Cubo Justo does not provide accounts managed by another person. If access for under-14s is introduced, a specific parental or guardian consent process will be added first.
